Geography and short history version of Provo, Utah:

Provo was settled in 1849 by Mormon pioneers, and is named after the French-Canadian trapper Étienne Provost.

This city is located about 45 miles south of Salt Lake City in Utah County, surrounded by the Wasatch Mountains.
